Once you move to Italy you must register as a resident within 90 days of your stay.

Applying for residency at the Comune is a straightforward process, in which you are required to have:

  • A liveable place to stay

  • Sufficient funds to sustain yourself (normally around € 6000 deposited in your Italian bank account)

  • A private healthcare coverage

The residency application allows you to setup your utilities (Internet, electricity, water, and trash collection) at your premises.

Once you are registered at the Comune, you can apply for the Universal Healthcare coverage and benefit of a renowned high-standard, public, and free health system.
